Internet service provider Valoo has partnered with Eye Networks to bring Wi-Fi 7 to the Finnish market with technology from eero, a renowned provider of high-end wifi solutions named after Finnish-American architect and designer Eero Saarinen.
Valoo is launching eero Max 7 to their customers this week, along with a new 8 Gbps internet subscription plan aimed at consumers.
“The new eero Max 7 router, combined with Wi-Fi 7 and our 8 Gbps internet connection delivered via fiber optics, means that our customers will have access to the super fast data package which fulfills the most demanding usage as well,” says Valoo’s CTO Pasi Huuppola. “Fiber optics technically imposes no upper limit on data transfer speeds, and experimental tests around the world have reached speeds of hundreds of terabits. But now we are bringing 8-gigabit connections, along with Wi-Fi 7, to the ordinary consumer.”
Wi-Fi 7 is the latest generation of wifi, improving wireless connection performance and capacity compared to previous versions. The first Wi-Fi 7-supported devices entered the market in 2024, but starting January 22nd this year, Finnish customers can fully experience and take advantage of Wi-Fi 7 technology in real life.
