eero Simple Setup for Professional Installers

Once the first eero device is installed in a home, you can use the eero Simple Setup feature to set up the rest of the mesh network.

This feature is turned off by default, so the first thing you need to do is turn it on in the app.

1. Turn on eero Simple Setup

1. Launch the eero app.
2. Go to Settings> Network Settings .
   
3. Under Network Settings, tap eero Simple Setup .
4. Press the slider to turn the feature on.
   

You can now return to the app home screen.

2. Installing multiple eero devices

With eero Simple Setup turned on, any new eero devices plugged in with an Ethernet cable will automatically appear in the app and be added to the network.

You can use this if there are multiple Ethernet outlets in a home, but you can also plug multiple devices into the same outlet one after another to have them added to the network before placing them in their intended locations.

Be careful to check, using the app, that all the devices you place get good coverage!

Safety And Precautions

With the feature turned on, anyone with physical access to the network will be able to add new devices.

We recommend that you, as an installer, turn off the function when you have finished setting up the network.
